Marion Einbeck

The collection of stories, Journey in Europe, is a travel companion to help the reader discover an undreamed of Europe that will surprise him with the beauty of its magical places. He will follow the author into the labyrinth of charming and mouth-watering stories that will make him dream or travel and give him the urge to get to know these places. Text and illustrations are intertwined to inspire him more and make Journey in Europe into a useful object that reveals unique places of well-being, epicurean pleasure, and relaxation.

The tourist supplement is a literary work and thereby is placed on the fringe of other tourist publications that frequently resemble one another in their descriptions. It is a kind of travel journal in which the stories, written with artfulness and sensitivity, are a visual, olfactory, tactile, and gustatory testimony as well as an effective account.

The latest Journey in Europe was dedicated to Germany. The author collected more than 300 pages of notes in her travel journal and on these she based her stories about the restaurants, hotels, chefs, wine makers, craftsmen, and places visited, following a specific itinerary. The circuit led from one place to another. The next Journey in Europe publication to appear in October/November 2008 is dedicated to Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, and a few places in France and Italy.
